![]() ![]() Yesterday I returned my modem in a last ditch effort to try and get a new IP. I did all of this and my IP did not change. Unplug router for 10 minutes then plug back in DNS Flush I talked to customer service 4 TIMES going through all the motions: With the VPN on my ping is around 20-40 and with the VPN off it spikes all the up to 80-100 which is broadline un playable with the game I play. I tested just to be absolutely sure it was an IP issue by using a VPN and relocated my self to NYC. I play a gaming system that uses IPV4 to connect to people but since I am physically located in Philly and my IPV4 is in California my connections are extremely poor. ![]() ![]() Normally this is not an issue this has happened plenty before in the 20 years I've been with them however my IPV4 was moved to California (note my IPV6 was still in the Philadelphia area after the maintenance). They went down for a few hours and when they came back online my IP changed. I live in the Philadelphia and last week they had scheduled maintenance. My problem is may be a little more niche but I am hoping to get some clarification to see my options. I’m taking the remaining four babies and their mum into the vet tomorrow morning to get them all looked over too, a couple have had diarrhoea and they’re all a bit hesitant to eat. And whether it would have been different if I was home sooner. All of the things I have read about grieving loss of a foster kitten talk about how the kitten knew love and safety and care while they were with you, but I feel so sad thinking about how long this poor baby might have been struggling to breathe and getting colder and colder before I got home. I just keep thinking about all the “what ifs” and how if I had done something different, this might not have happened. I came home and haven’t been able to stop crying since. The humane thing to do was to euthanise her. Her temperature was down to 33 degrees which is so cold for a baby kitten, and they said she was likely too far gone and her organs would have been shutting down at a temp that low. The vets believed she had something really wrong with her lungs - likely aspirated some food or vomit or something. I held her in my lap as I drove there, stroking her and speaking to her while she was gasping and trying to meow. Today when I got home from work, one was gasping and shivering and couldn’t really move, I wrapped her in a blanket and held her while speaking with the rescue and organising to get her to the emergency vet. The babies are now 6 weeks old and I’ve had them for the last two weeks.
